Cars currently or recently in our workshops

1957 Abarth 750 Zagato 'Double Bubble

This is one of our own cars undergoing full restoration. We have completed the engine which has been fully rebuilt using original parts (particularly the orignal crankshaft dated May 1957) and custom made pistons. New valves, fully reworked cylinder head etc. All new ancillaries including clutch will be fitted. All running gear has been overhauled or replaced with correct parts. Brakes were uprated to Lockheed calipers all round in early 1960's by Abarth concessionaire, which are being rebuilt, all suspension etc is new. The body is being stripped for repaint in orignal red, door frames have been repaired, and rear lights (seen here with incorrect holes) have been remade as per original. The completed car will be avaialable towards summer.

1927 Fiat 509A Torpedo

A lovely example of a rare 4 seater tourer. This car was restored in 1956 in Rome, and still retains a lovely patina. Mechanically very good, this car will be sympathetically restored here at DTR later this year. We will be repainting the original body in dark blue, and the interior will be retrimmed in original dark brown leather. The hood will be remade in original style cotton. This is a 990cc car with 22hp and a 4 speed gearbox (believed to be a later addition)

1971 Fiat 595 Abarth

'esse esse'

This car is currently in our workshop having an electronic ignition system fitted, rare and unusual as this one has been converted to right hand drive

1965 Alfa Giulia Spider 1600

A lovely original example, we have just finished hand making a mohair roof for this car (pictured here fitted), and have stripped and rebuilt the starter motor.

X1/9 Prototype Replica

Currently undergoing carburettor rebuild, wiring, steering and brake repairs. This is a very unusual example with lots of period parts fitted.

1968 Lancia Fulvia Series 1 HF rallye

Or rather the cylinder head thereof. Currently undergoing extensive engine repairs, including new piston rings, cosmetics and tuning.

1976 Porsche 911 Carrera

Just serviced by us, and undergoing full strip and repaint. Most panels taken to bare metal due to various paint repairs in the course of the last 30 or so years. Car will be painted in Porsche guards red.

Fiat Barchetta Right hand Drive

Despite rumours to the contrary, we built just 6 of these cars, of which 2 went for export, 1 was our own demonstrator and used for the RHD moulds and 1 was built for BBC Top Gear show. This is the car shown here, and was a 1997 model, later sold (and still maintained) by us.

Arriving in our workshops in February 07 - Ferrari 330 GTS!
