Description
We imported this Fiat 124 CS 1800 in 1995 from California. It has a fascinating story in that we found a live black widow spider under the carburettor when dismantling it for a full overhaul! It was the subject of many news stories for a day or so and got us invited to London Zoo, where the live black widow was displayed with a credit to DTR. We were featured in the Times, the tabloids and The Big Breakfast, culminating with an invite to BBC's Blue Peter where we drove a 124 into the studio!
Anyway, this car was overhauled for a French gentleman and has had 2 owners since. We have just taken it in part exchange for one of our modern 124 Abarths and are offering it as a project (it runs and drives well) or fully restored.
It is the most desirable spec of 1800 (the Abarth year!) and converted by us to right hand drive.
It has leather interior which presents well but is now 30 years old. Everything runs as it should, but headgasket is leaking, so can sell it as it is, or repair/restore the car to any specification.
