Model Moretti 2300S Convertible

Description

Our own Moretti 2300 S cabriolet. This is one of the rarest 1960s coach built cars (only a 'handful' ever built) and has been sujected to a 2300 hour restoration by us over the last 7 years.

The body was fully stripped, garnet blasted and zinc phosphate coated before we started the metalwork. Over 1200 hours of bodywork went into our car to bring it to the level it is today. FInished in Ferrari Celeste (very similar to the orignal colour) with Glasurit paint. The underside was detailed and restored on a 'roll over' jig.

The engine was fully rebuilt with a polished crankshaft, new big end and main bearings, new small ends and new (oe) pistons fitted. The bottom end including the new clutch was fully balanced. The cylinder head was rebuilt with unleaded seats and new valves. All engine ancillaries were rebuilt including the carburettors which were restored and detailed. Dynamo was rebuilt as was the starter motor and the water pump and oil pump are new with all new hosing. The radiator and heater matrix were remade with new higher flow matrix fitted. 

The transmission and brakes were fully rebuilt including servos, callipers and brake pads. The differential was rebuilt with all new bearings and seals and the prop shaft fully balanced. 
We had custom wiring loom remade to exact orignal spec and all electrical fittings were overhauled or replaced
The orignal Borranis were sent to Italy for full restoration and detailing and then fitted with period correct new Pirelli tyres.

The interior was re trimmed with rebuilt seat frames and new foams. In all, almost 7 Bridge of Weir best quality hides were used to trim the inside. The soft top was custom made to the original pattern.

Our car may be the only fully restored Moretti 2300 S convertible  in the world and as a Michelotti styled car is of investment quality. Tool kit and jack are included with the car as is an original brochure. Supplied fully serviced ready to go. The number plate '10TSY' is not included!
