Description |
Just arrived in stock and going through mechanical overhaul in our workshop. 1970 124BS Spider 1608. This is the highest spec and best model of the early 124 Spiders. The pre-74 cars are typically worth double the post 1974 non-chrome bumper cars. This model had the lighter bodywork and 1608 higher compression engine with twin downdraught Weber carburettors. It's fitted with a mohair soft top and tan leather interior. Originally overhauled by us in 2002, it had a fully rebuilt balanced engine with new pistons, unleaded valve seats etc, typical cost of a 1608 engine to this spec is around £10,000. Original AS Cromodora alloy wheels will be supplied reconditioned, or we have a set of original steel wheels as an option. Both will be supplied with new Pirelli tyres. Will be ready by June. A very good conditioned 124 Spider with new cambelt, major service, brakes overhauled, new waterpump, bearings etc etc.
We always say to drive a 1600 Alfa Spider, then try a 124. You will be amazed at how good the little Fiat is and much cheaper to buy and run! |
